Nadia Elena Comaneci
It was at the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most memorable sporting moments of all time and that was the very first perfect 10 on the asymmetrical bars. To add to that the feat, she achieved six more perfect tens, thereby becoming the youngest all-around Olympic gold medalist only 14 years old age. Comaneci didn't just draw worldwide attention; she also helped put Romania on the map. In achieving an unachievable result, the sporting icon created an iconic image and helped promote gymnastics across the globe. People's perception of women athletes was changed due to this achievement. Such was her impact on her participation in the Olympics that even the uneven bar event has two moves named after her - toe-on and release move, which have been classified as high-level and level. In addition to the Olympics she also was a star at World Championships and European Championships. Her achievements earned her the title of one of the greatest gymnasts ever. The "Queen" of Olympics when she emigrated to America, experimented with the art of modeling and marketing equipment for sports.
